Sports Massage
Sports massage is a deeper tissue massage which aids the amateur, semi-professional and professional athlete to recover from the affects of training and sports competition.
Give yourself the advantage over your competitors by having regular sports massage.
Sports Rehabilitation Advice
When the sporting athlete is receiving treatment, it is also important that correct sport specific rehabilitation advice is given to ensure the athlete can return to competition or playing their sport safely.
General Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a two way contract between the patient and the physiotherapist. The aim is to achieve progression through the physiotherapist using electrotherapy and manual techniques and the patient performing regular home exercises.
Advice and treatment can help patients with back pain, sports injuries or following orthopaedic surgery.
Spinal Manipulations
This provides a therapeutic mobilization of the spine using a quick thrusting technique. This type of treatment is only used when it is appropriate and has been discussed and agreed with the patient.
Gentle mobilizations are more commonly used to help treat spinal conditions to increase range of movement and reduce vertebral stiffness.
Electrotherapy
Electrotherapy is the use of electrical treatment modalities to aid the repair of injured tissue and improve scar tissue formation.
Ultrasound passes a sound wave through tissues providing an increase in circulation and a 'micro massage' to help in the repair of injured muscle, tendons or ligaments.
T.E.N.S. or Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation and Interferential Therapy help to stimulate the bodies own pain relieving stimulus to reduce the pain caused by injury.
Ergonomic Work Assessments
People today have a busy work lifestyle whether at home or the workplace. The assessment of your work station and correct postural advice is of paramount importance in preventing the possible onset of a number of musculoskeletal conditions. These can be neck and back pain, carpel tunnel syndrome and many others.
The numbers of work days lost due to poor work station set ups are costly to business in monetary terms and the person affected by pain.
